Acute and Chronic Back Pain

About 4 million Australians are dealing with back pain right now, and up to 90% will experience it at some point in their lives.

An evidence-based approach is needed to provide effective relief - this is where Acupuncture comes in.

We use points located elsewhere on the body and very gentle techniques on the affected areas to minimise pain & maximise healing.

How does Acupuncture for Back Pain work?

Acupuncture addresses back pain by:

  1. stimulating specific body points

  2. enhancing blood flow

  3. reducing inflammation

  4. releasing endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers.

This method promotes the body's healing, offering a non-invasive, effective relief for both chronic and acute pain.

It not only eases discomfort but also improves mobility and overall well-being, providing a comprehensive treatment approach.

How often should you have Acupuncture for back pain?

At Embrace Acupuncture we take your pain concerns very seriously.

We want the fastest results for you possible, so you can go back to doing the things you love!

For chronic or intense pain we find twice weekly treatments work best initially, then spacing out as your pain levels keep decreasing. We do this so your pain levels aren’t back to square one with treatments spaced too far apart to be effective.

In the first appointment, we confirm with you the frequency of treatments needed to reduce your specific pains and prevent reoccurrence and adjust the plan according to how well your body responds.
