Acupuncture for Pain Management
Acupuncture is an age-old healing practice that has been trusted for generations to lower and prevent pain.
Its effectiveness in pain management is a testament to its enduring power. By carefully inserting ultra-fine needles into specific points on your body, Acupuncture stimulates the body's natural pain-relief mechanisms. It's not just about masking the pain; it's about addressing the underlying causes and promoting true healing.
Reducing Inflammation
In addition to pain relief, Acupuncture is known for its remarkable ability to lower inflammation.
Inflammation is often at the root of many painful conditions, and Acupuncture's anti-inflammatory effects provide much-needed relief.
By reducing inflammation, we not only alleviate discomfort but also create an environment in which the body can heal and recover more effectively.

Acupuncture for Pain FAQ
-
Acupuncture works to dial down the pain responses received in your brain.
It also brings blood flow to the affected area to stimulate healing. We take into consideration your WHOLE health to find what may be contributing to your pain as everyone is different.
This means we can address other health concerns at the same time making this a worthwhile choice! -
We always aim for our treatments to feel relaxing as well as therapeutic.
We use gentle techniques and can use points on a different part of the body to help reduce pain.
Some bodies do experience a short term deep healing reaction where pain may slightly elevate (like a deep tissue massage) then significantly drop.
That said, we’ve found in 10+ years in clinic, this isn’t most people’s response. -
Of course this depends on the severity of the pain and how long it’s been an issue. Your practitioner will confirm with you how long they think it will take in the first session.
Our aim is to minimise your pain as fast as possible and work to have your body healing nicely so when treatments begin to be spaced out, the effects still hold.
We will always let you know things you can do too aswell to support faster healing & let you get back to the things you love to do! -
