Wellbeing Resources
How are you doing today?
Itβs great to be seeing so many people talk about mental health and overall wellbeing more frequently. Here are some of our favourite resources to try!
Audiobooks
Books are obviously great!
However, for tired eyeballs and almost instant access - you can't go past audiobooks!
These are some of the best mental wellbeing/inspiration audiobooks that have been helpful through all the lockdowns.
First, We make the beast beautiful - powerfully reframes how we think about anxiety.
The Resilience Project - Finding happiness through gratitude, empathy & mindfulness - its all in the title & by a Melbourne guy too.
Learning to love yourself - Very practical ways to process all of your feelings and not be trapped by them.
The Big Leap - Helping move your life in the right direction
Podcasts
Knowing where to start is always the hardest part so here's our favourite ones for mental wellbeing.
The Imperfects - Especially this episode, completely reframes things
We can do hard things - This episode on anxiety is fabulous but with so many beautiful ones on feeling emotions, beauty, self care & addictions there's too many to choose from
Apps & Mediation
Calm app - Loads of mediations & SLEEP STORIES FOR ADULTS. Stephen Fry (or a zillion other authors) reading you a story to go to sleep is just lovely
Headspace - Now on Spotify - has lots of tiny 5-6 min meditations to get you going
Yoga Nidra on youtube - There's literally thousands of these meditations on YouTube. I call these 'meditations for people who cant meditate'
Be Fertile - On Spotify- has got some beautiful meditations for preconception, IVF, men's fertility, pregnancy, breastfeeding & sleep
Journal
Sometimes writing just helps..
Of course regular journals are excellent, so are mental wellbeing ones such as this from the Resilience Project
Yoga
Yoga has been used as a mindfulness & wellbeing tool for centuries!
Those who've read a few newsletters, know we LOVE Yoga With Adriene on Youtube.
Total Game Changer.
Its free, there's thousands of sessions for every level & reason.
Best of all, YWA has playlists each month so you don't have to spend time deciding which one to do today π
Here's the September Playlist - aptly titled Reset
